Important notice to ALL WDFL clubs

On Monday night (13th January) the Wicklow & District Football League will hold a Management Meeting at 7.45pm in Rathnew Clubhouse. ALL Clubs must attend without exception.

In advance of this meeting

ALL clubs must advise Sarah Duffy, League Secretary, the number of players signed by their respective club. This is not the number of players who have played for you, it is the number signed, irrelevant of whether that player played or not. It is unacceptable that at this stage of the season any club has not advised the Registrar of their players and had them registered with the League. I would again remind clubs that players not registered are not covered under club insurance policies. Leaving clubs open to player claims.

Clubs failing to advise the League Secretary of player numbers on or before next Monday nights meeting will face penalties. Additionally, those clubs will be charged for 24 players per team @€25per player plus €150per team to total of €750 per team. I would ask all clubs to make their payments based on the number of players signed (€25 per player) and the number of teams @€150 each. I will be issuing invoices to all clubs when I have requisite information, however that does not stop you paying as a number of clubs have already done. Please note the reduced team charge of €150 will expire at end of this month. Payments made after that date will incur a team fee of €250 per team.

The focus of the meeting will be on Calendar football and what our choices/decisions are going forward. However, the registration and finance situation has to be concluded.
