Congratulations to St. Peters who won the Tommy Heffernan Charity Shield last night for the first time.
They came back from being 2-0 down to draw 3-3 against a very strong Avonmore side in a fine game of football played in a very good spirit. Peters then prevailed in the penalty shootout winning 4-2.
Captain Chad Ryan received the trophy from Tommy’s wife Margaret while Killian O’Carroll picked up the man of the match award from Tommy’s grandson Sean.
Thanks to all who came to show their support on the night and best of luck to both teams for the upcoming season.
